Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Gail!
Welcome to planDisney! We are DELIGHTED you stopped by and are honored to help you plan your upcoming trip to
Disney World. It looks like you will be arriving in a few weeks...THIS IS SO EXCITING! From the moment you arrive, you’ll be surrounded by MAGIC, adventure, and memories just waiting to happen. Every corner holds something new, whether it’s thrilling attractions, incredible shows, or delicious treats. Get ready, because this trip is going to be pure Disney joy from start to finish!
This is a great question and one that is super important for planning those early
EPCOT mornings! The Monorail that takes you from the
Contemporary to EPCOT doesn’t run directly. You will first hop on the Resort Monorail, glide over to the Transportation and Ticket Center, and then transfer to the EPCOT line. During your upcoming trip, you can expect the Resort Monorail to begin running bright and early, around 7:00 a.m. Now, the EPCOT Monorail line typically starts service about 60 minutes before EPCOT’s
Early Entry opening time, which is scheduled to be 8:30 a.m. on September 21, 2025. That means you’ll likely see the EPCOT monorail trains rolling at or around 7:30 a.m.
This setup gives you just the right amount of time to glide into EPCOT, head through security, and be ready for rope drop fun. If you plan to take advantage of Early Entry as a Disney Resort guest, you’ll be in a perfect spot to hit popular rides like
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind or
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure before the big crowds arrive. The whole journey from Contemporary to EPCOT usually takes about 25 to 30 minutes once you factor in the transfer at TTC, so it’s good to give yourself a little cushion.
If you have other questions, please do not hesitate to ask. We are here to help in any way we can!
Have a MAGICAL day!
