Going for the 1st time in May. We are staying at a non Disney resort and renting a car. Have a 5 day pass for 4 parks. What do i need to know. have no idea where to start. any other helpful blogs?

    Hi Michelle!

The two most important things are to determine when you are going and where you are going to stay.  It sounds like you have those two things decided, so you are well on your way!

The next step is to determine which park you will visit on which day.  To help you with that, I recommend visiting the independent website TouringPlans.com.  That's the website for the research team behind the tour book "The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World".  They are famous in the Disney fan community for producing a crowd calendar that predicts the crowds in a particular park on a specific day.  They recommend what parks to visit on each day and what parks to avoid.

Once you know what park you plan on visiting on which day, you can make Advanced Dining Reservations (ADRs).  ADRs are important if you want to dine in the fabulous Table Service (full service) restaurants at Walt Disney World.  ADRs can be made up to 180 days in advance online or by calling (407) WDW-DINE.

By the way, since it is your first time to Walt Disney World, I definitely recommend picking up the book "The Complete Walt Disney World" by  Julie and Mike Neal.  It is a great book for first time visitors, as it is full of information without being overwhelming.  It is also a beautiful book full of color photographs.  It will give you a good feel for everything there is to do at Walt Disney World.

This should help get you started.  Write back with more questions!
