Hi, Jessica!
I’m glad to hear you’re planning a vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort this fall! There are so many new additions to explore and magic to discover, especially in New Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom Park!
I had the pleasure of dining at Be Our Guest Restaurant for lunch shortly after it opened, and I agree that it’s a “must-do” experience. I love the Beauty and the Beast-inspired ambiance and creative menu. Lunchtime meals are ordered using an innovative touch-screen terminal, and many dishes are customizable. Once you’ve placed your order, you’ll take a “Magic Rose” to the table of your choice in one of three elaborately-themed dining rooms—the West Wing, the Rose Gallery, or the Ballroom—where your food is delivered right to you. Even though the restaurant only offers quick-service dining at lunch, meals are still served on real china!
My advice is to plan on eating an early lunch and getting in line before the doors open in the morning between 10 and 10:30 a.m. From what I’ve heard, the line moves fairly quickly once the doors open for the first Guests because they’ve had time to review the menu in line, expediting the ordering process. Even though the restaurant officially opens at 11:00 a.m., the line sometimes begins moving earlier.
If a lunch seating doesn’t work out, you may even have luck securing a walk-up reservation for dinner due to last-minute changes, so it doesn’t hurt to inquire in person about the possibility of being seated. Good luck, and bon appetit, Jessica! Please feel free to ask me any other questions you may have as you continue to plan your pixie-dusted vacation.
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
