Is there a time limit on how long you can spend at a character dining experience in WDW? Like is it a one hour window to eat and leave? 2 hours? Or is there any limit? I have never come across this question before and my friend just asked me.

    Hi Cecilia!

It looks like you have a Walt Disney World Resort vacation in just a few weeks - how exciting! You must be counting down the days until you're in The Most Magical Place on Earth.

Character Dining is such a fun and unique dining experience! Guests get to enjoy a delicious meal while interacting with their favorite Disney Characters, taking photos, and getting autographs. Characters such as Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, Disney Princesses, and many others make appearances at various dining locations throughout Walt Disney World Resort.

Character Dining experiences are available for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, depending on the specific dining venue, and are offered in both buffet-style and table-service formats. There are many different options to choose from! My personal favorite is Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White (at Disney's Wilderness Lodge), where you can visit with Snow White, Dopey, Grumpy, and the Evil Queen! The storybook-themed dining experience has the most creative menu, and the most delicious, unique cocktails and desserts. It's such a fun time, and I can't wait to do it again!

When it comes to dining, there isn't a time limit on your fun! You definitely won't feel rushed and can enjoy your meal at a leisurely pace. The length of your meal can vary depending on the restaurant and dining experience you choose for your Character meal. From my experience, the meals typically last around one hour to 90 minutes. You'll want to make sure you stay long enough for all the Characters to have a chance to visit your table, which can sometimes add to the overall time spent at the restaurant.

I hope this helps, and that you'll get a chance to create some lasting memories in a magical setting with your favorite Disney Characters on your vacation!
