is there a time limit on the half marathon, i know you have to have a 16 min/ per mile pace but is the a specific time limit on the half? thank you for all your help

Hi Jacqueline!  You are right that there is a 16/minute per mile pace.  The actual timing of that pace begins when the last person crosses the starting line.  There will be "sweepers" bringing up the rear that will follow along at that pace.  If anyone gets behind them, they will be escorted off of the race course.  It is not a shameful thing. We all have our good days when we could run or walk forever, and there are some days we just don't feel it!
Depending on which race it is, there can be up to an hour difference from the time the first person starts to when the last person does.  You will be positioned in corrals.  The first corral is reserved for faster runners.  This is a safety thing so that they aren't constantly trying to weave around slower runners and also walkers.  So, even if you are in the middle pack of the corrals, you will have quite a head start on the ones behind you, and in essence, a little extra time.
I looked up the times for all runners from this year's Princess Half Marathon.  The last finisher had a time of 4 hours and 27 minutes.
I hope this helps!!  Let me know if you have any other runDisney questions!
