GEO-82 Bar & Lounge is
easily one of my favorite places to relax with a drink in hand at Disney World. You are already well on your way to a fantastic visit by including this cool spot on your must-do list.
This EPCOT lounge (for those aged 21+) is the perfect hideaway with an incredible view of the theme park—and the
Luminous fireworks if you time it right. Like many Disney restaurants,
GEO-82 advance dining reservations are highly recommended. You can make them as early as 60 days before your holiday arrival date.
There isn’t an official time limit (like there is at the equally popular
Beak and Barrel at Magic Kingdom); however, on busier days, there could be an enforced limit around an hour. On my most recent visit to GEO-82, I made a last-minute reservation for a small group and we were seated at the bar. Ironically, that reservation was made for around the time that you’re inquiring about: 7:30 p.m. We were not expecting to stay up until the fireworks show, but we did, and it was a treat! The piped-in music, dimmed lights, and location make it quite the spectacle. I can say, without any exaggeration, that this will be the highlight of your holiday.
AN EXTRA GEM: While drinking a Peach Shrub Whisky Smash or Brûlée Banana Highball at a table next to the gigantic, nearly panoramic window is a favorite experience of mine, sitting at the bar provides its own set of perks. The bartenders are super helpful and friendly and you never know what unique concoction they will make according to your preferences.
