Welcome to planDisney, Michael!
We are so happy to hear from you, and I hope that you are getting excited for your upcoming trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth! EPCOT is one of my favorite places in the whole wide world! Watch the
Disney Parks Blog as you approach your trip to see what is happening at EPCOT during your visit! Currently,
Food and Wine Festival is underway and it is the most delicious festival, in my opinion! I cannot wait to visit (and snack) again!
The lights on
Spaceship Earth are mesmerizing. I could watch them forever and never get bored. I reached out to a Cast Member to see if they had additional insight on the duration of the lights on Spaceship Earth, because your question is a great one! Here’s the information I received: Spaceship Earth’s lights (and the light shows) do not have a set ending. Because each day has different park hours and events, sometimes the lights are on well after official park closing. Tanner, the Cast Member I spoke with, informed me that, “The lights on Spaceship Earth are turned off for the nightly fireworks show at EPCOT but return after the show and are available until after the park closes.”
I’m sorry I don’t have a concrete time for you, Michael, but I can say, from personal experience, that I have seen the lights on Spaceship Earth still on more than 2 hours after closing. Hopefully you’ll be able to see the lights for as long as you’d like to!
If you have additional questions, we would love to hear from you again at planDisney; we’re always just a dream away!
