Hi, Sam!
Thank you for sending in this excellent question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I completely agree that you don't want to cut anything too close! Planning enough time to get from
attractions to
dining locations is very important to a stress-free day in the parks. When I'm making my family's
FastPass+ selections, I always keep our dining locations in mind so that we are not trekking across the park to eat. On our visit in July, I was able to plan
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train about 30 minutes before our lunch at
Be Our Guest Restaurant. It worked out perfectly because we arrived 10 minutes early and were seated immediately. If you are able to select attractions close to your dining locations, I'd say 30 minutes is a safe time and at least 45 minutes if the restaurant is not in close proximity.
Also, your FastPass+ window is an hour-long, so you can always plan to experience the attraction at the beginning of the time frame.
My Disney Experience will not allow your FastPass+ or dining reservations to overlap, so you should be in good shape.
Sam, it sounds like you are taking all the right steps to make your days organized and fun! We hope you'll stop back by if you need any further help with your plans.
Have a MAGICAL day!
Nancy
