How much time should we leave between booking reservations to build lightsabers and droids in Galaxy’s Edge? Can we have the lightsabers and droids taken to our hotel room or held at park exit? I’ve seen conflicting information about this guest service.

Bright suns, Christy! Welcome to planDisney, and thank you so much for stopping by to see us!

I see you will soon be visiting Batuu and creating your very own droid and lightsaber! These experiences will bring you closer to the force and be ones you remember forever. My Jedi friends tell me that creating a lightsaber at Savi’s Workshop takes about 20 minutes from start to finish, but this does not account for the time you may wait for your group to be called. So, all in all, you will want to leave at least one hour for that experience. But, then, we usually recommend 30 minutes “travel time” from one attraction to another, so I would advise at least 1.5 hours between your experiences! In fact, why not consider lunch at Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo between adventures so that you can fuel up!

Regarding the transport of your treasures, while Souvenir Pick Up and Resort Hotel Delivery is not available at this time, your items can be delivered home for a small fee! Whenever you are ready to ship them, head to any Disney retail location or the front desk of your Resort Hotel. The shipping fee is per saber or item and usually no more than $20 each, but it varies according to the distance shipped.

Christy, I hope this information helps you plan your Star Wars adventures and live them to the fullest during your next vacation! Please know that we are always here to help shine a light on your questions and be a guide to you as you plan and dream.

    Til the spires!
