What time will After Hours Event tickets become available for purchase, for resort guests? Looking to do Hollywood Studios after hours event on Jan 11! Thanks!

    Hiya, Megan!

Welcome back to planDisney and thanks for dropping by with your question. Like you, I was thrilled to see the announcement that Disney After Hours would be returning in 2023!  Several years ago, my family got the chance to experience one of these fantastic events at Magic Kingdom Park and it's still one of my favorite things we've ever done in the parks. How exciting that you're planning to attend Disney After Hours at Disney's Hollywood Studios during your upcoming January visit –– I have a feeling that a full night of fun is in store for you and your family!

I've got some great news –– tickets for Guests with a confirmed Disney Resorts Collection hotel reservation officially went on sale today, October 4th, so you can go ahead and book tickets for the January 11th Disney After Hours event at Disney's Hollywood Studios at any time. And just so you know, tickets for all other Guests don't go on sale until October 7th.  This early booking window is a great perk for Resort Guests, so I definitely recommend booking your tickets over the next few days to take advantage of most availability.

As you're planning the itinerary for your upcoming visit, don't forget that you'll be able to enter Disney's Hollywood Studios on the night of your after-hours event beginning at 7 PM, without purchasing an additional park ticket for the day.  Since we know that we're in store for a late night when we attend one of these events, my family typically chooses to skip the parks during the day, relax at our Resort, and head to the park as soon as we can enter with our party ticket. Not only are we well-rested and ready to go when the event starts, but it's a great way to save a little bit of money on an extra park ticket and still maximize our fun at the same time –– talk about a win-win, right?

I really appreciate you bringing another question to planDisney, Megan. I'm wishing you and your family a Walt Disney World Resort visit that's filled with plenty of pixie dust and lots of late-night fun next January!

    Happy Planning,
    Amy
