Hello, Twila!
Welcome to planDisney! We are halfway to the most wonderful time of the year! The holidays at the Walt Disney World Resort are extra magical.
Disney Resorts Collection Hotels and theme parks are all decked out in their holiday decorations in anticipation of the return of
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. This special-ticketed event will allow Guests to experience the joy of the holidays on select nights in the Magic Kingdom. Party goers will be treated to
Mickey’s Once Upon a Time Christmas Parade, holiday-themed shows on the castle stage, special holiday versions of your favorite rides and attractions, and new for this year,
Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show.
The Magic Kingdom will begin to close at 6:00 PM to Guests who do not have a ticket for the special event, to prepare for the holiday celebration that begins at 7:00 PM. Cast Members will be located at several checkpoints in the park to make sure that only Guests with wristbands remain in the park.
Unfortunately,
Disney’s Enchantment will not be shown on evenings when Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is scheduled. Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show will appear in its place during the party. I know this is not the magical answer you were hoping for, but this will allow you plenty of time to adjust your plans accordingly to see fireworks on an evening when there is no special event.
See ya real soon,
Andrea
