Hi Hallie,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another question!
The
Disability Access Service Card (or DAS Card) really is a great way to ensure that families of all abilities are able to enjoy all that Walt Disney World Resort Has to offer. From what I understand, once you get a DAS card for your son, it’s valid for up to 14 days, depending on your son’s
Theme Park Ticket entitlements. For example, if he has a 5 Day Ticket, it will be valid for all 5 days of his Theme Park visits.
Guest Relations typically opens when the Theme Park starts welcoming Guests into the Park, even if it hasn’t officially started operations for the day. From what I understand, this means that you should be able to request your son’s DAS Card the moment that Magic Kingdom Park opens for either morning
Extra Magic Hours or even for
Disney Early Morning Magic - Fantasyland. Because opening hours can change at any time, to be on the safe side, I’d highly recommend double checking this information with your Disney Resort Hotel’s
Lobby Concierge when you start your vacation.
For more information, I'd highly recommend consulting the
Official Guide for the Disability Access Service Card before your visit.
As always, please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions. We’re always happy to help!
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
