What time can I go online to book vacation at home resort for December 12 2026

Hi Deborah! Welcome back to planDisney and welcome home! I see that you are looking to book your home resort for a December stay. Whether your home resort is located at Walt Disney World, Disneyland, or at one of the Beach Resorts, you’re in for a treat! The holiday decor and cooler weather always sets up our family for a great Disney December vacation!

When it comes to your home resort booking window, you can book 11 months before your desired check-in date, subject to availability. So for a December 12, 2026 stay, your first available day to book that stay was January 12, 2026. When booking online, you can book as early as 8AM, eastern time. When calling Member Services to book, you can call when they open at 9AM, eastern time.

If your home resort is unavailable (which can certainly occur for December stays as it is a very popular time of year for DVC members), don’t fret! You can always create a waitlist for the resort and room type you are wanting to book. In order to do so, search for the desired resort, travel dates, and room type. If what you are searching for is unavailable, you can select on the option “Waitlist This Entire Stay”. One bonus tip! If there are consecutive days (but not the complete desired travel dates) available to book, I recommend booking those dates and putting in a waitlist for the remainder of the desired travel dates. If that waitlist gets fulfilled, you can always ask Member Services to combine the reservations into one so that you don’t have to check-out and check back in to a new room. Alternatively, you can always do a split stay and choose another resort at 7 months from your desired check-in date. Our family likes to do split stays from time to time, to see what the other DVC resorts have to offer!

Deborah, I hope you find this information helpful and wishing you all the pixie dust that you get the DVC villa you desire for December. Should you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to reach back out to us here at planDisney!

    Your pal,

    Sean
