    is there any time frame as to when big thunder mountain railway will reopen

    Hey, Rose!

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Hang on to them hats and glasses 'cause this here is the wildest ride in the wilderness! Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is our favorite family roller coaster at Walt Disney World Resort.

    Currently, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is scheduled for refurbishment from August 8, 2016 till November 18, 2016. Of course, the project could be faster or slower depending on weather and other factors.

    Disney Dad Tips: Make sure to ride Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at night so you can check out the dancing in the saloon and get some great views of Cinderella Castle.
