Hi All!! 1st time flying & want to mail package of shampoos, body wash, etc. to save $$ at airport. Question, has anyone done this before & wondering if my items will be secure until I arrive, and is there any restrictions on shipping.

    Hi Melissa,

Guests are welcome to ship packages to be waiting upon their arrival. I do this almost every time I stay at a Disney Resort. Its one less thing for me to have to remember to pack and risk sending my luggage into the excessive weight category when I fly down.

I'm not sure which resort you're staying in but you can call the resort directly to get the street address for shipping (I am happy to assist you if you send me your resort name).  Here is how you should address the package:

Disney's (name of your resort )
    Street Address
    City, FL Zip Code

Please hold for Guest (your name here)
Guest Arriving on (arrival date here)

If I am checking in on a Friday, I usually ship my package on Monday just to be sure it is enough time to arrive before I do. When you check in, mention that you should have a package - they usually have it waiting at Check-In for you. If not, they will deliver it to your room shortly.

I have never had a problem and my packages have never tampered with before I arrived so I am very comfortable shipping packages ahead. If you are shipping body wash & shampoo, I'd put them in a Ziploc bag before sealing my package just in case there are any leaks. I would only ship plastic bottles since there is less chance of breakage during shipping and I always bubble wrap more fragile items.  I would not ship any perishable items.  If you are shipping something that you think is out of the ordinary, call the resort directly to confirm any restrictions.

Please let us know if you have any other questions during your planning. We're super excited to assist you. Wishing you many magical memories :-) Allison
