Hi there, Amanda! Welcome to planDisney. Thanks for visiting with your question.
I love it when I can sail out of my home state of California on a Disney Cruise. It's a lot easier for me to get to San Diego than any other Disney Cruise port, and my family cherishes the many memories we've made sailing to Mexico from San Diego. You'll be making memories in just a few months when you embark on your journey with Captains Minnie and Mickey!
Disney Cruise Line recommends that guests plan to arrive at San Diego International Airport no later than 2:00 P.M. on embarkation day. In my opinion, the earlier, the better! You can
add ground transportation to your Disney Cruise Line vacation from San Diego International Airport to the port, and that service begins at 11:00 a.m. from the airport.
I know you didn't ask, but just in case you are curious, the earliest departure time from San Diego International Airport on debarkation day that Disney Cruise Line recommends is 11:15 a.m. I hope that information helps as you plan your flights accordingly!
Amanda, you'll be sailing on the
Disney Wonder, a favorite in my house. We especially love dining at
Tiana's Place, where the food, music, and party vibes will transport you to New Orleans. If you like seafood, I recommend trying the seabass. It's my favorite dish on the menu.
Have a fabulous sailing!
