What time can you enter the Magic Kingdom for the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party?

Hello Peter, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I am so excited to hear that you will be attending one of the first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party events of this holiday season. This party will definitely get you into the holiday spirit. The decorations, the music, the food, and the entertainment make this one of the best special events held in the Magic Kingdom in my opinion.

If you are planning to just use your party ticket for access to the Magic Kingdom, you can typically enter the park as soon as 4: 00 p.m. This is the approximate time that Cast Members begin distributing wristbands to party goers. Since the party does not begin until 7:00 p.m. this will give you a chance to experience some of your favorite rides or attractions before the fun begins. However, you should know that several rides will be re-imagined with some extra holiday spirit that you can only experience during the party. The list includes Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, and Dumbo The Flying Elephant.

My must-do list includes the Holiday Wishes fireworks show, Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, the complimentary treat stations and the magical PhotoPass shots offered during the party.

    Happy Holidays,
