What time can a DVC member book Aulani at the 7 month window

Aloha Wendy! Welcome home and mahalo for visiting planDisney! With the cold and snowy winter weather gripping our part of the world, I’m sure you’re counting down the days until you can trade in the snow for the sandy beaches of the Ko Olina lagoon and checking into paradise at AULANI, Disney Vacation Clubs, Ko Olina, Hawai’i!

DVC members have two different options for securing reservations at other DVC Resorts apart from their Home Resort. Wendy, since you’re inquiring about the 7-month window, I’m assuming that Aulani is not one of your home resorts. You’re correct that the booking window opens at 7 months. For reservations made online through the DVC website, you can book a stay at Aulani at 8:00AM, eastern time, 7 months from your desired check-in date. For reservations made by contacting Member Services, you can book stays starting at 9:00AM, eastern time.

If you haven’t yet visited Aulani, here are some of my top suggestions for dining and recreation. I am a huge fan of Ulu Café, the main quick service restaurant at the resort. They serve delicious Hawaiian favorites, such as kalbi short ribs, Mickey-shaped musubi, and poké bowls. You’ll also find some classic meals like salads, pizza, hamburgers, and chicken tenders (perfect for those picky little eaters). Makahiki serves up my all-time favorite Hawaiian meal, Loco Moco, as part of the character breakfast offerings.

When it comes to recreation, you’ll have plenty of pools to choose from. Some of my favorite places to relax are at the Ka Maka Grotto that has infinity-edge, allowing you to just stare out into the ocean. You can also take a float on the lazy river at Waikolohe Stream. You may want to look into renting out a cabana that dot the Resort's pool areas and the lagoon. Cabanas feature amenities such as a TV, ceiling fan, fridge, and some complimentary bottled water and snacks. I also highly recommend downloading the Resort’s app so that you’ll have access to all of the daily activities, and book any activity or dining reservations for you and your travel party. It’s especially helpful in identifying when and where you can meet some of our favorite Disney characters!

Wendy, I hope you find this information helpful and hope that it gets you excited for an upcoming trip to this Hawaiian paradise! If you have any additional questions about an Aulani stay, please do not hesitate to contact me and my fellow panelists here at planDisney!

    Your pal,
