Hiya, Kelsie! Welcome to planDisney!
It looks like you have a visit to
Magic Kingdom Park coming up in just a few short weeks. How exciting! I like that you’re planning on arriving early, Kelsie. That’s a great strategy! That way, you can take advantage of lower early morning crowds and maximize your time in the park.
The Transportation and Ticket Center typically opens an hour before
Early Theme Park Entry at Magic Kingdom. I checked the
Hours & Events Calendar and as of this writing, Magic Kingdom is set to open at 9:00 AM on May 7. This means that Early Theme Park Entry will be at 8:30 AM. You can expect the Transportation and Ticket Center to open around 7:30 AM on that day. Please note that operating hours are subject to change, so it’s best practice to check again in the days leading up to your visit. Note that Early Theme Park Entry is a benefit for registered Guests staying at Disney Resort hotels and select other hotels. You can check the list of
eligible hotels on the Walt Disney World Resort website to see if your hotel qualifies. If so, great!
If not,
hakuna matata! Even if you don’t qualify for Early Theme Park Entry, you’ll still be able to enter Magic Kingdom when the park opens alongside resort Guests. You won’t be able to head to Fantasyland or Tomorrowland prior to 9:00 AM, as these lands are only open to resort Guests during Early Theme Park Entry. But this is a perfect time to take photos of Cinderella Castle and to stroll up and down Main Street, U.S.A.
As of this writing, Adventureland, Frontierland, and Liberty Square open after Early Theme Park Entry. I suggest waiting near the entrance to Adventureland to be ready to head to Jungle Cruise as soon as it opens for the day! You’ll also be visiting during the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. If you’ll be visiting EPCOT, you’ll be treated to lovely Disney character topiaries and beautiful garden displays. Be sure to try some of the eats and sips at the Outdoor Kitchens!
I hope this answers your question, Kelsie! If you have any other questions as you continue to plan your visit, please don’t hesitate to come back and see us here at
planDisney. We’re always happy to help!
See you real soon!
