Hi Stephanie,
Welcome back to
planDisney! It’s always a pleasure to connect with a fellow Ontarian and Disney Vacation Club Member. How exciting that you’re heading to
Walt Disney World Resort so soon!
I love visiting Walt Disney World Resort during the spooky season and especially seeing Magic Kingdom Park all decked out for Halloween. It’s such a treat to enjoy the festive decorations and
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in costume—without having to worry about fitting the costumes over snowsuits! Eligible Disney Vacation Club Members can even purchase discounted tickets for select party dates (be sure to check out the DVC special offers and benefits on the website). Plus, all ticket holders can enter Magic Kingdom Park as early as 4:00 PM to start soaking up the magic!
Upon entry, each Guest will receive a special party bracelet, which you'll need to wear for the event. Once you’ve got your bracelet, you’re all set! I like to start my evening by enjoying a couple of attractions before grabbing a bite to eat. That way, when the party officially kicks off at 7:00 PM, I’m ready to dive right into the fun! At Magic Kingdom Park, my go-to spot is
Sleepy Hollow for their delicious Mickey Waffle with Sweet-and-Spicy Maple Chicken. I always use
Mobile Order to skip the lines and save time.
Like many Canadians, I like to purchase Disney Gift Cards from major retailers in Canada and avoid currency conversion fees. The gift cards are purchased in Canadian dollars and are converted to U.S. funds at time of use (you’ll receive the current currency exchange rate). You can even see your card balance in U.S. dollars printed on your receipt. If you have several Disney Gift Cards, consider registering them at
www.disneygiftcard.com, where you can combine up to six cards for easier management. You can also name the cards - I find it helps keep them organized.
Tip: I always save my Gift Card numbers in a note on my phone. That way, when it’s time to place a Mobile Order, I can just copy and paste the number for quick and easy payment.
Stephanie, I hope this information is helpful to your vacation planning. Wishing you a fantastic trip to Walt Disney World Resort! Be sure to catch
Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade (if you are able to watch the second parade, you’ll find it is not as crowded) in addition to
Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular when the skies light up with special themed-fireworks and more! Please feel free to
let me know if you have any other DVC or vacation planning questions, I’m happy to help!
Enjoy making magical memories,
Candace
