Greetings, Robin. Welcome to planDisney!
The information you are looking for can easily be found on the
Hours & Events Calendar of the website. Since hours for different sections of the resort vary, I highly recommend you check out this page so you'll know exactly when each area closes. You can also find this information on the nifty
My Disney Experience mobile app by clicking on the 3-horizontal lines (☰) at the bottom right-hand corner and scrolling down until you can click on "Park Hours & Info." As you'll quickly learn, the
Walt Disney World Resort does not typically close early for holidays and will often be open just as late as usual, if not later, during these busy times.
If the time the theme park that's open the latest (typically
Magic Kingdom Park, but this can vary) is too early for you to call it a night, be sure to head on over to
Disney Springs as it usually closes the latest of all areas of the resort, especially on weekends. This shopping and dining district has some of my favorite spaces at the resort...and you don't even need a theme park ticket to gain entry!
World of Disney is where I get most of my souvenir shopping done. And I absolutely love
Chef Art Smith's Homecomin',
Jaleo by José Andrés, and the delicious creations made at
Gideon's Bakehouse (if the Peanut Butter Cold Brew is available when you're there, don't hesitate, just get it). Plus, there are experiences that you and the whole family can enjoy, including
Vintage Amphicar Tours and the
Aerophile. Finally, to me, the crown jewel is
Drawn to Life Presented by Cirque du Soleil & Disney. It's a spectacular show full of color, unbelievable acrobatics, Disney storytelling, and plenty of emotion! Oh, and the brand-new drone show that takes place here each night for the summer,
Disney Dreams that Soar, is a great addition to this magical place! Who says the fun and entertainment are only at the theme parks?
Robin, enjoy your holiday visit to the resort. If you have any other questions,
please feel free to reach out!
Timeless adventure is about to unfold,
Matt
