1st time to Disney next year with 3 year old son. Staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge. Is there a list of rides and attractions suitable for 3 year olds(preschoolers)? Which park would be most enjoyable for a child this age?

    Hi Camille,

Animal Kingdom Lodge is a beautiful resort and perfect if your little boy loves animals!  Every park offers something for toddlers, but Magic Kingdom is probably going to be your favorite this time around.

There is actually a set of park maps designed specifically for children 5 and under.  They're bright and colorful, filled with characters that young children know and love.  The attractions listed are all suitable for your little one.  To access these maps, click HERE.

Also, have you ordered the vacation DVD?  It's FREE, and there is a section geared to travelling with small children.  Click HERE to request your copy.

Hope this helps get you started.  Have fun planning, and have a magical vacation!

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
