Ahoy there, Dipti!
Welcome aboard planDisney! How exciting that you and your crew are just hours away from
stepping onto the Disney Dream—there’s nothing quite like embarkation day when the ship is gleaming, the horn is ready to sing, and vacation officially takes the helm.
For your sailing, the current schedule shows an all-aboard time of 3:00 PM Eastern, with an estimated sail-away around 4:00 PM. That’s when the magic carpet lifts, the lines are cast off, and the Dream heads out to sea. To keep things smooth and stress-free, it’s best to arrive as close to your assigned Port Arrival Time as possible. When my crew and I
drive to the port, we like to arrive about 15 minutes early so we can drop luggage, park, and be ready to walk right in when our Port Arrival Time and boarding group is called.
If you weren’t able to complete Online Check-In and select a Port Arrival Time, plan to
arrive 90 minutes to 1 hour before the all-aboard time. That gives you plenty of buffer to get through security, document verification, and check-in without feeling like you’re racing the clock like Dash from The Incredibles.
Embarkation day is full of excitement, but it can also be busy, so be sure to keep your must-haves in a carry-on bag. Passports or citizenship documents, medications,
DisneyBand+ if you’re using one, and anything you might want immediately should stay with you. I’m also a big fan of wearing or packing swimsuits and sunscreen in that carry-on—since staterooms may not be available until 1:30 PM (subject to change), this lets you jump straight into vacation mode with a splash in the pool or a first
ride on the AquaDuck while the ship hums with that “first day magic.”
I hope this helps as you count down the final moments before your adventure begins. Embarkation day always feels like the opening scene of a great Disney story—full of anticipation, music in the air, and the promise of unforgettable memories ahead!
Sea ya real soon with holiday cheer, calm seas, and magical winter memories,
Dustin
