Ahoy there, Clarissa! Welcome aboard, planDisney!
In true planning format, like you, I like to plan out all the days and activities on our cruise, including that sad disembarkation day. I love Disney Cruise Line so much that I don’t even like thinking about leaving our cruise, but the Type A planner in me knows that I need to plan it all ahead of time. The nice thing is that Disney Cruise Line even makes our last morning on board a sweet one, and I’d be happy to share what that morning looks like, for your own planning purposes.
Guests are expected to disembark their Disney cruise ship by about 9:30 AM at the latest. This is so the ship can begin turning over for the next sailing, so, as much as we current guests don’t want to leave, we’re going to have to, and then start planning our next cruise! (At least that’s what I do from the minute I step back on shore!)
The disembarkation process for guests technically starts the night before. Guests are invited to leave their luggage outside their stateroom by 10:30 PM so that it can be taken down to the port the following morning. If you are taking your own luggage down to the port using Express Walk-Off, you can leave it with you until the morning. If you're using Express Walk-Off, once it's called at about 7:30 AM, you may disembark. If you're not using Express Walk-Off, Guests may begin disembarking at about 7:45 AM.
As for that final delicious breakfast, Guests are invited to enjoy a final magical meal on board, which will be in the same
Main Dining restaurant they dined in for dinner the night before. You can also grab those final photos and ask any photo questions you might have of the very knowledgeable Cast Members on board at
Shutters, because it’s open early that morning.
If you’re planning to travel and/or fly back home that day after you disembark, I would suggest not booking a flight before 12 PM to give you plenty of time to get off the ship and get to the airport.
Clarissa, I hope I was able to offer clarification and help you make a plan for that final day. I wish you the most beautiful memories on board! Please sail back to planDisney if you have any more questions.
Bon Voyage,
Rana
