Whats the time difference in travel to on-site hotels versus off-site hotels near Downtown Disney? I will have a 3-year-old and a 6-month-old I'd like to be able to go back to the hotel midday for a nap, but could also use a larger room. Recommendations?

    Hi Aimee!

The Downtown Disney hotels are great!  My favorite is the Doubletree Guest Suites especially when traveling with younger children.  All of the suites feature a separate bedroom from a living room and have a small fridge and microwave.  Comes in handy when you are dealing with baby bottles!  Since it is a suite, it is larger than a regular hotel room offering either 2 double beds or a king bed in the bedroom and then a pullout sofa in the living room.

All of the Downtown Disney hotels are within walking distance to Downtown Disney and offer a shuttle service to all of the parks.  The Hilton is the only hotel that participates in the Extra Magic Hours, so that is also something to consider as well.  If traveling by car on your own, it takes no more than 10 minutes to get to Epcot, Hollywood Studios and the Magic Kingdom.  It will take no more than 15 minutes to get to Animal Kingdom.

    Have a magical day!
