Hi there, Cassie!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! As a
Castaway Club Member approaching Gold status, you know ALL the fun awaiting you at sea!
Sailing with an infant is great! Our boys were seven months and four months (prior to current minimum age requirement of six months) old on their first sailings and we keep coming back!! Disney Cruise Line makes it so convenient to
cruise with little ones by providing you with a pack and play and diaper pail in your stateroom upon request. The onboard “it’s a small world” nursery! is a fantastic place for the littlest cruisers to spend time giving mom and dad a break or an opportunity to catch a ride on the AquaDuck!
I definitely recommend bringing on a stroller – and a lightweight umbrella stroller would be best if possible as larger strollers are harder to navigate on the ship and don’t easily fit through stateroom doors and many times we would stroll a sleeping baby directly into the stateroom while they continued to snooze! A sound machine is also a great addition to your room to drown out any hallway noise. We would always take the littles to Castaway Cay for a bit, but then we would take back onboard and check them into the nursery for their naps while we went back to the island for some more time in the sun. The
wave phones work on Castaway Cay so if you need to be reached, you can!
You will have such a great time with so many new memories made. Before you know it, this little one will be at Gold Status as well!
Happy Sailing!
Stephanie
