What time of day do tickets for special events go on sale, on the day they are first available?

    Season's greetings, Karen!

Welcome back to planDisney. We're so glad you've returned with another great Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question! It sounds like you may be interested in attending Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party this year. You're in for a holly-jolly time! This festive special event transforms Magic Kingdom Park into a winter wonderland on select evenings during the holiday season. I'm happy to help you secure your special event tickets, Karen!

In my recent experience, special event tickets typically become available on the Walt Disney World Resort website no earlier than 6:00 a.m. Eastern, and by phone no earlier than 7:00 a.m. Eastern. After chatting with a cheerful Cast Member, it sounds like the sales for this year's Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party tickets will likely open at these times, so I encourage you to set an alarm if you're interested in attending a party this year! Karen, in past years, the first party and parties on dates surrounding the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays have been among the first to sell out. Ticket prices vary by date, and special discounts are available for Disney Vacation Club Members and Annual Passholders on select dates!

Once you secure your tickets, it's party time! Prepare to be awestruck by a merry and magnificent Magic Kingdom Park, Karen. Party Guests enjoy reduced attraction wait times due to lower crowds, unique Disney PhotoPass photo opportunities, and a fantastic party-exclusive fireworks display! Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade immerses Guests in holiday cheer and allows Guests to experience "snowfall" on Main Street, U.S.A. You'll enjoy complimentary cookies and cocoa to cap off a magical evening. Does it get any cozier!?

Karen, I hope you find this information useful. I wish you the best of luck in securing your special event tickets! I'm ho-ho-hoping you have a magical and memorable holiday visit to the Walt Disney World Resort. If you have any additional planning questions, please feel free to revisit us at planDisney anytime. We're here to help you make enchanting memories!

    Warm wishes,

    Lauren
