What time of day does site open for dining reservations 60 days in advance

Hello, Jeanette. I'm so glad you've stopped by planDisney to talk about one of my favorite things at Walt Disney World - the dining!

Jeanette, are you getting so excited about your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation? It's in just a few short months and will be here before you know it. I'm happy to see that you are thinking about making dining reservations ahead of your vacation. Some of the very best places can fill up pretty quickly. You are able to make dining reservations 60 days prior to your check-in date online starting at 6:00 a.m. Mickey Mouse's time. You can also make dining reservations by calling 407-WDW-DINE starting at 7:00 a.m. If you have some popular places on your must-do list, I recommend setting that alarm early and being ready around 5:55 a.m. to try to snag them online. This will give you the best chance to grab your favorites.

If you are looking for a dining suggestion, my current go-to is The BOATHOUSE in Disney Springs. It is a beautiful restaurant set right on the lake. It's a perfect place to watch the sun go down over Disney Springs in the evening. There's plenty of seating in the restaurant. Even if you can't get a reservation, I've never had any trouble with walking up. Also, there are 3 bar areas - one outside, one as you walk in the door and then one tucked toward the back of the restaurant. All of those areas are first-come, first-serve. The past three times I've eaten at the boathouse, I've just found an area to squeeze in at the bar. At The BOATHOUSE, there is something on the menu for everyone. The steaks are great, the past is fantastic but my favorite menu item right now is the lobster roll. I order it served warm with butter and I always upgrade to the truffle fries, they are amazing! In fact, this meal is so great my entire family orders the same exact thing as I do! If you have any room left after your meal for dessert, I also suggest sharing the key lime pie in a jar. It's light, refreshing and so flavorful. I love it! The cocktails are also so fun at The BOATHOUSE and the service is always fantastic! I can't say enough great things about this place.

I hope this helps, Jeanette. If you have any other questions before your trip, please feel free to stop back by and ask me. I'm happy to help. Enjoy and have fun!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
