Welcome aboard planDisney, Christopher! Thanks for visiting us as you prepare for an amazing anniversary at sea. Congratulations on 25 years of marriage! I think a first-ever Disney Cruise is a practically perfect way to celebrate.
There are so many ways to celebrate your love for one another on board. I hope you take full advantage of the opportunities to connect and relax together. One of my favorite areas to unwind on the ship is the adult-exclusive Quiet Cove. The lounge chairs are plush and there are Crew Members at the ready to serve your favorite drink or to deliver a refreshingly cooled towel as you lounge by the pool.
What could possibly top that experience? Well, a visit to the
Senses Spa & Salon sounds like a great contender. Once your
advanced booking window opens to make reservations for things like the spa, a reservation at Palo (more on that later!), or for Port Adventures, you will be able to view the prices for spa treatments as you book them for your sailing. As a first-time guest of the Disney Cruise Line, this booking window will begin 75 days prior to your sailing.
While you aren’t able to view prices for your sailing just yet, I can tell you that I have a 50-minute Swedish Massage for Couples booked for an upcoming cruise and the cost at the time I booked was $279. Prices are subject to change at any time, so please use this as a guideline for your own planning. Gratuities are charged for spa services and will be an additional 18 percent. Sometimes the Senses Spa & Salon will advertise special offers that can only be booked once onboard. It's worth taking a visit to the spa to see what they might be offering.
May I suggest a couple of additional ideas for celebrating your big day? My favorite way to celebrate any occasion is by reserving a meal at
Palo. Whether you choose brunch on a day at sea, or dinner any evening of your sailing, it is sure to be a hit. The menu is delectable and the service is top-notch. If you are interested in dining at Palo but find that reservations are booked, please don't fret. I've had good luck with snagging a reservation on the day that I board.
To add a little extra magic to your anniversary sailing, I suggest that you visit the
Onboard Gifts page of the Disney Cruise Line website to browse some gift ideas for your celebration. There are cakes, floral arrangements, and special drinks that might catch your eye. I personally recommend the "Luxury at Sea for Two Romance Package" as an excellent way to kick off your festivities. This package includes chocolates, a bottle of bubbly, a beautiful rose, and two plush Disney Cruise Line branded robes that make for excellent souvenirs. If you purchase this package, these items will be delivered to your stateroom on embarkation day.
Lastly, be sure to notify Disney Cruise Line that you will be celebrating a special occasion during your voyage. You may do this by logging in to your reservation on the
Disney Cruise Line website. Then, scroll down below the area that displays your stateroom information to the "Special Requests" section. From here, you may indicate that you'll be celebrating an anniversary!
And I wish for you and your spouse that it is a VERY happy anniversary. Congratulations again and thanks for asking your question here at planDisney. We absolutely love to help.
Happy Sailing,
Adrianna
