Ahoy Samantha!
Congratulations on booking your inaugural voyage with Captain Mickey aboard Disney Cruise Line! You are going to fall in love with cruising with Disney. All the activities on and around the ship will be listed in your Personal Navigator newsletter (which will be left for you in your stateroom each evening) or the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. My family loves sitting together to plan our adventures for the next day!
I'm so glad you're researching onboard activities before your
advance booking window opens. The onboard activities and Port Adventures are available to schedule in advance on a first-come, first-served basis; the Concierge Guests and Platinum Castaway Club Members will get first dibs on the activities around 120 days prior to their sail date. Please don't be discouraged, though! I remember feeling the same way preparing for our first Disney Cruise and was pleasantly surprised to find spots still available for all the activities and excursions I had my heart set on!
If something happens to be sold out by the time your Online Check-in arrives, don't give up hope. I recommend checking back to the Disney Cruise Line website periodically because Guests' plans often change, resulting in them needing to cancel activities. If you still aren't able to get a specific Port Adventure or onboard activity, head straight to the Guest Services Desk (or Port Adventures Desk) on embarkation day to see if there are any additional openings or a waiting list you can add your family's name to.
Samantha, I'll be sending you so many good luck wishes! If you have any future questions, please stop back and visit us again!
