    What time do the characters show up at MK? I've heard they show up via train before the park opens, is this true? We have ADR at Crystal Palace @ 8:50, park opens at 9:00 - will we be able to see this?

    Hi Mindy!

    The 'park opening show' at Magic Kingdom is absolutely one of the tips I include on every "must-do" list for Walt Disney World vacationers!

    The actual show itself begins at 8:50am (on regular operating days) and runs until 9:00am as the park "officially" opens for the day. *Make sure to check online for Extra Magic Hour schedules - if it's morning EMH at Magic Kingdom that particular day - the show will take place at 7:50am

    I'd definitely recommend a quick call to Disney Dining Reservations to see if a Cast Member can help you bump your reservation time back a little to 9:15am. If not, just be sure to be at the front of the crowds while you watch the show and then bee-line it down Main Street U.S.A. straight to Crystal Palace which is on the left-hand side at the top end of the street! If you're late for your ADR, you'll be placed back into the queue for seating based on the time which you arrived, and be seated at the next available table for your party size.

    In order to fully enjoy the show, make sure to have arrived at Magic Kingdom no later than 8:30am (7:30am if morning EMH) to get through security and the turnstiles before securing your spot for a clear view of the train station above you. Get those cameras and video ready because you're in for quite a treat.
    You'll be humming a happy tune for the rest of the day!
