Welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad to be able to answer your question today. It sounds like you've got a trip coming up this month, so let's talk about
Happily Ever After and when you'll be able to fit it into your schedule!
On a typical September evening at
Magic Kingdom, Happily Ever After starts at 9:00 PM. That is the go-to time on the schedule and a good baseline for planning dinner, attractions, and finding a spot on Main Street, U.S.A.
That said, there's an important factor to consider for trips in September:
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. On party nights, Magic Kingdom closes early to day guests, and there is no showing of Happily Ever After. Instead, party attendees will see
Disney's Not-So-Spooky Spectacular at 10:00 PM. So if your visit lines up with a party night, you won't find Happily Ever After on the calendar for that evening.
To lock things in for your specific week, it's a good idea to check the calendar in
My Disney Experience as your dates get close. Look at your exact travel week and tap into the day-by-day listing for Happily Ever After. If it's a non-party night, you should see a showing at 9:00 PM; if it's a party night, there will be no time listed, and the park hours will reflect the earlier close.
I've got some bonus tips to make the most of your night at Magic Kingdom! Arrive at your preferred viewing spot 30-45 minutes early if you want those classic castle-projection views from the middle of Main Street, U.S.A. If you prefer a little breathing room, the area near
the train station at the end of Main Street offers a great wide angle and an easy exit after the finale.
Have a magical day!
Jessica
