What time do the busses start running from the resorts to the parks? If we have an earlier ADR is a taxi the way to go? Thanks.

Generally the buses begin 45 minutes prior to the park’s opening. Therefore if Magic Kingdom opens at 9 a.m., you should be at the bus stop by 8:15 a.m. at the latest. If you miss the first bus, it’s likely that you’ll wait another 15-20 minutes before the next one arrives.

For the parks that have 8 a.m. character breakfasts, buses will begin running around 7:15 a.m. If you are concerned about making an Advance Dining Reservation, you should be at the bus stop about 45 minutes in advance.

As long as you allow sufficient time, then resort transportation via bus will get you to your meal on time. Depending on where you are staying, a taxi ride will generally cost $15-20 including the tip. You can find a helpful fare calculator at mearstransportation.com.

If you are heading to the Magic Kingdom, you will be dropped off by your resort bus at the entrance. If you take a taxi, you’ll be dropped at the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) where you will transfer to the ferry or monorail to the Magic Kingdom entrance. All other parks have more convenient drop off locations for taxi arrivals. Note that you could have the taxi drop you off at the Contemporary and then walk to the Magic Kingdom to avoid the TTC.

    Enjoy your breakfast!
