Hi Jaimie,
Welcome to planDisney! I'm so happy you stopped by with your question about transportation around the Walt Disney World Resort.
The complimentary Disney transportation and
early entry to the theme parks are two of the fabulous
benefits of staying in a hotel in the Disney Resorts Collection.
For me, a big part of a relaxing vacation is hanging up my car keys for the duration and letting someone else transport me by bus, boat, monorail or Skyliner throughout my visit.
In general, the complimentary Disney transportation begins operating at least an hour before the parks open and continues until at least an hour after park closing. The buses run continuously throughout the day, about every 20 minutes. So I would expect the first buses to leave your resort around 7:30 am.
At most bus stops in the resorts, you will find overhead monitors that let you know the approximate arrival time of the next bus bound for each of the four theme parks and Disney Springs. I find it extremely helpful to know about how long the wait will be.
Once the bus departs your resort, no matter your resort's location, the ride to any one of the four theme parks should take no more than about 15 minutes. And the buses drop guests near the entrance of every park.
If you need help with navigation while you are at Walt Disney World, you can use the "Get Directions" function in the
My Disney Experience Mobile App to find the best routes between parks, resorts or even attractions.
Thanks for your question, Jaimie. Please let us know if you need any other information or recommendations as your vacation nears. We're always eager to share our experience with other guests.
Enjoy,
Wilma
