What time does bus from Epcot to magic kingdom start?

Greetings Julie and welcome to planDisney!

I love to hop between EPCOT and the Magic Kingdom! Two of my favorite rides are in those parks and if I can double up and save the galaxy with a ride on Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and go supersonic on Space Mountain on the same day, it is the perfect day for me!

To answer your question, there is not a direct bus from EPCOT to the Magic Kingdom.

Your best and most scenic option to get from EPCOT to the Magic Kingdom is to travel aboard the Walt Disney World Monorail System! You will take the monorail from the front of EPCOT to the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) where you need to exit and transfer to the Express Monorail or Resort Monorail.  The Express Monorail will take you directly to the Magic Kingdom, and the Resort Monorail will make stops at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. The monorail system opens 30 minutes before the parks open and stops one hour after Magic Kingdom closes and 2 hours after EPCOT closes.

You could also choose to take the ferry boat over to the Magic Kingdom from the TTC!

Another way to get from EPCOT to the Magic Kingdom, especially if you are near the back of the park near the International Gateway, which is the back entrance of the park heading out to Disney’s Skyliner and Disney’s BoardWalk, is to exit the park and walk to either Disney’s Beach Club Villas or Disney’s BoardWalk Villas.  You can then catch the Magic Kingdom theme park bus from either one of these resorts at their bus stop just outside their front lobby areas.

One more possible route which utilizes the Disney Skyliner system, is to jump on the Skyliner just outside the International Gateway exit of EPCOT and take the Skyliner to the first stop at Disney’s Riviera Resort and catch the Magic Kingdom theme park bus just outside the Riviera front lobby.  That is a little bit more time consuming, but it gives you a chance to walk through the magnificent grounds and lobby area of one of my favorite resorts!

Julie, it’s not planes, trains, or automobiles! But it is your choice of monorails, Skyliners and buses! Whatever you choose, don’t forget to enjoy a Mickey Bar or two! Have a magical time!
