What time should we book flight leaving mco after disney cruise?

    Welcome aboard, Joe -

Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel and logging in a question. Disembarkation day is still a vacation day on the Disney Cruise... so I'm hoping that you can go through this day as leisurely as possible. You'll be heading home and no one wants to be all stressed out after enjoying such a great voyage onboard this magical ship.

If you are able to book your flights out of the Orlando Airport (MCO) sometime after 1pm - that would be ideal. This way, you can enjoy a leisurely sit down breakfast on your last day onboard. Your family can also take the time to say goodbye to your dining team and stateroom host/hostess. I always find our family moving in slow motion on the last day. Everyone is sad to to leave the ship of course -- and we try to make the most of the time the we're still onboard.

Once you leave the ship, you'll exit the gangway and head over to baggage claim to collect your check-in luggage. You'll then progress through the line to clear US Customs, then off you are to the transportation area. Port Canaveral is about 45 minutes to an hour away from the MCO airport, depending on traffic.

I hope this helps, Joe. Please do let us know if you need any additional information to help you plan for your Disney Cruise Line vacation. We're always happy to help.

    Happy planning!
