    What time should I book a departure flight at MCO when the cruise ship arrives at Port Canaveral?

    Thanks for sailing over to planDisney! Our team is always excited to help guests as they plan for their magical cruises. I am happy to hear you have a cruise planned and that you are sailing out of Port Canaveral. This is a very easy port to get to, so your transportation should be smooth sailing!

    Per the Disney Cruise Line website, it is recommended that your flight out of the Orlando International Airport (MCO) have a departure time of 11:15am or later. This will give you plenty of time to enjoy a final farewell breakfast and allow for the approximately 1-hour drive from cruise port to airport. Ground Transportation is available and may be booked online, on the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App, or by calling Disney Cruise Line directly. Space is limited, so I suggest making your travel arrangements as soon as you have your flight information confirmed. 

    While debarkation day is not my favorite day, I always feel a bit better about saying "See you real soon" if I know I have another cruise in my future! I like to take advantage of the Onboard Offer to book a Placeholder Reservation. With a $250 refundable deposit, a Placeholder allows a guest to book another cruise within 24 months with a 10% (or more) discount. Please note reservations are based on availability, and blockout dates may apply. Placeholders may be reserved on the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App anytime during your cruise. If you have any questions about making the deposit for your future cruise, stop by Guest Services.
