What time is the best time of day to take a special needs child around the park?

To avoid both crowds and heat, I recommend visiting the parks first thing in the morning.  Ideally, you will get there before the scheduled park opening time and be there to see the special little "show" that happens upon opening.  Try to do as much as you can during those first few park hours while everyone else is sleeping in.  Once the crowds and temperatures rise you may want to head back to your resort for an afternoon nap/break.  Once the child is properly rested and refreshed you could head back to a park and enjoy a few more hours of park touring before dinner.

I hope the trip is magical for your whole family!

Meet the Panelist: Darcie, Alabama

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
