Welcome back aboard the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Theresa!
Wow! Can you believe that in just a couple of weeks you will be sailing with Captain Mickey? I am so excited for you! Finalize your
packing lists and download your
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App, you are going on a Disney cruise!
As much as I do not like to think about it, at some point, the magic ends and the time comes to debark the ship and go home.
Disney Cruise Line ground transportation to Orlando International Airport is available for you to board as soon as the "all clear" is given for the ship to begin debarkation. This is typically around 7:30 AM. The motor coaches will leave as they fill, so the actual departure time will vary based on how many guests debark the ship when you do and are taking transportation to the airport. In my experience, from the time you get off the ship until you arrive at the airport is usually an hour and a half to two hours.
When I have been one of the first guests off of the ship and on the motor coach by 8:00 AM, I have been to the airport by 10:00 AM. As delays can occur, Disney Cruise Line does not recommend booking any flights before 11:30 AM. Debarking the ship and going through customs has taken our family on average about 20 to 30 minutes. You can speed up your debarkation process by taking advantage of the
onboard airline check-in service and checking your bags all the way to their final destination so you don't have to carry them off the ship!
Fly back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel if you have any additional questions before you set sail, Theresa! Enjoy making memories on your high seas adventure!
"Sea" ya real soon! Angie
