What time should we arrive at the parks? I'm aware of Extra Magic Hours and such... But I heard that Main Street USA Opens before the official park opening. So what time should we be there to beat crowds to get in, and/or get into the parks beforehand

    Hi Justin!

You can get in through the ticket turnstiles before the park officially opens, but you will be held outside before passing through the train station.  Every morning, there is an opening ceremony before "rope drop".  There is a little show where the characters come out and welcome you to the Magic Kingdom and the Mayor officially opens the park.  You will not be allowed in until the park opening time.  A few years ago, you used to be able to get to Main Street before the park opened.  There were ropes preventing you from getting to each land.  I'm not exactly sure when this changed, but now you are held outside of the train station.

During busy times of the year, plan on getting to the Magic Kingdom no later than 30 minutes before the park opens to get a good spot to see the opening ceremony.  If the front area gets too crowded, they will stop letting people in through the turnstiles.

A way to get into the park before it opens is to make breakfast reservations as early as you can.  You will be in the park before all of the other guests, plus you can have a delicious meal and start your morning when the park opens already in the park!

    Have a magical day!
