what time should I arrive at the gate for extra magic mornings?

It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Sandra!

Getting to the theme parks for Extra Magic Hours in the morning really depends on where you're going and what kind of family you are. If my family is planning on spending the morning at Magic Kingdom Park, we like to get there really early, around an hour before the park opens to Resort Hotel guests for the day. We do this because we love walking leisurely down Main Street U.S.A. and getting some pictures in front of Cinderella Castle before the park has filled with guests. That way we can be in place and ready to go when the attractions open and start taking riders! We like to head straight to Space Mountain, but Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is also a really popular destination for guests first thing in the morning.

It's also a really good idea to arrive early, around an hour before Extra Magic Hours begin, if you really want to ride an attraction that is new and popular. This is especially true right now of Avatar - Flight of Passage at Disney's Animal Kingdom and Slinky Dog Dash at Disney's Hollywood Studios. If you have a FastPass+ for those attractions later in the day, or you want to head to something else like Kilimanjaro Safaris, which is incredible first thing in the morning when the animals are first waking up and eating breakfast, then arriving at a theme park around half an hour before Extra Magic Hours begin will be plenty of time.

    Have a magical day, Sandra!
