Hi Jocelyn,
Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is one of my favorite events each year at Walt Disney World. That's so cool that you'll be there on Friday the 13th!
Let me share what I know so far about the upcoming festivities on Friday the 13th (09/13/2013):
1) In Disney's Hollywood Studios, there will be a one-day-only event called "Unleash the Villains." The theme park will be open to guests until the 13th hour (1:00am) and special experiences will be offered that will be themed around the Disney Villains.
2) In Epcot, there will be a special pin trading event called "
13 Reflections of Evil." If you're into collecting pins or vinylmations, this should definitely be added to your "must-do" list.
So, you're probably still wondering about the potential surprises that day at the Magic Kingdom, especially during Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. Unfortunately, so am I!
Here's the good news...since this is the year of "Limited Time Magic" at the Disney Parks, you never know what may be in store. So, keep your eyes and ears open throughout the day!
Here's a little tip from your buddy Derek:
If you're looking for a good spot to watch Mickey's "Boo-to-You" Halloween Parade, my favorite one is on the elevated walkways outside of the Diamond Horseshoe in Frontierland because it offers a great vantage point to see all of the action. Plus, it's a great spot to setup your camera and snap a few pictures of the Headless Horseman without having to worry about any other guests accidentally blocking your shot.
I hope that helps! If you should have any other questions, please feel free to write back and I'll be happy to help in any way that I can.
Best regards,
Derek
