What are the tiers of rides mean. When I called they said there are tiers for the rides and can only book one with in that tier for a ride.

    Hi Amie,

I see that you're planning a visit to "The Most Magical Place on Earth" during the holiday season! With Christmas music playing everywhere you go, festive holiday decorations capturing the spirit of the season, and lots of wonderful special events, this is one holiday season you'll cherish for years to come!

I'm sorry that the FastPass+ planning has been a bit confusing, and I'd be happy to explain it a bit further. It's such a wonderful service, and you'll definitely want to take full advantage of it by selecting three eligible attractions per day ahead of time to skip the standby lines! Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park do operate with FastPass+ Tiers while Magic Kingdom Park does not. Basically this means that you'll be able to select any three eligible FastPass+ experiences at Magic Kingdom Park, while you'll be a bit more limited at the other parks. The Tier system is designed to even out FastPass+ availability so that everyone has a fair shot at getting one of the more popular attractions. You'll be able to select one of the Tier 1 experiences (the more popular ones with typically longer standby wait times), while your other two pre-planned choices will need to be from Tier 2. My dear friend and fellow Panelist Brandy lists the current Tiers here, and that should come in quite handy as you're planning your selections.

Do keep in mind that once you've enjoyed your initial three selections, you'll be able to use the My Disney Experience mobile app or an in-park kiosk to make additional FastPass+ selections, one at a time, and there will be no Tier restrictions on those selections. Tier 1 experiences may be hard to find the day of, but it's certainly worth trying!

I hope this helps, Amie! Please let us know if we can help with anything else as you're thinking through the details of your trip, and have a truly magical vacation!
