    What is tier 4 tickets

Hi there, Nidhi, and welcome to planDisney! Your magical visit to the Happiest Place on Earth is just around the corner, and I'm thrilled to help you with your excellent question about the ticket tiers. Let's get it all sorted out so you can focus on the fun!

Think of the ticket tiers at the Disneyland Resort as a helpful calendar system. To offer Guests a variety of pricing options, 1-Day tickets are assigned to different tiers (0 through 6) based on the date you wish to visit. A Tier 4 ticket is designed for days that are quite popular. The great news about having a Tier 4 ticket is that it gives you wonderful flexibility! You can use it on any date designated as Tier 4, or any day in a lower tier (Tiers 0, 1, 2, or 3). You can find more information about each ticket tier, including associated blockout dates, on the Disneyland Resort Tickets FAQ page.

Now for the most important step: booking your theme park reservation. Remember, having a ticket is step one, and having a reservation for the same park on the same day is step two—you need both to enter a park. Please be sure to lock in your dates as soon as you know them, as availability can fill up!

Since this sounds like it might be your first visit, I want to share a few of my favorite tips to help make your experience extra magical! Before you arrive, be sure to download the official Disneyland mobile app. Think of it as your magic pal for the day! My favorite app feature is mobile food and beverage ordering, which lets you order meals and snacks ahead of time to minimize time waiting in line at many dining locations.

With your digital guide ready, my next piece of advice is all about pacing your day. Try to arrive at the gates about 45 minutes before the park officially opens to enjoy shorter lines in the morning. Then, when you need a moment to recharge in the afternoon, I recommend finding a relaxing attraction. Taking a grand circle tour on the Disneyland Railroad or floating down the bayou on Pirates of the Caribbean are both wonderful ways to rest your feet before you gear up for the evening festivities when the park is sparkling with lights!

Finally, I have to share one of my favorite pro tips for a truly unique experience: visit the Animation Academy in Hollywood Land at Disney California Adventure Park. It’s a chance to sit down in a cool, air-conditioned theater (see, I mentioned air conditioning again... you can tell what's most important to me on a warm park day!) where a real Disney artist gives you a step-by-step lesson on how to draw a beloved character. It’s so much fun, no artistic skill is required, and you get to walk away with an amazing, personalized souvenir that you created yourself—for free! And speaking of capturing memories, don't forget to have the Disney PhotoPass photographers snap your picture in front of iconic spots like Sleeping Beauty Castle. They are experts at getting that perfect shot of your whole group together.

You're asking all the right questions to prepare for a fantastic trip, Nidhi. I'm so excited for the adventure that awaits you!

Wishing you the most unforgettable visit!
