Welcome to planDisney, Betty!
What's better than a fun-filled weeklong vacation at
Walt Disney World? Adding an extra day of fun, of course!
The short answer to your question is yes! You may certainly buy a one day
Walt Disney World Theme Park Ticket and add the
Park Hopper Option while purchasing. If your other tickets do not include park hopping, this may be the less expensive way for you to choose the flexibility of hopping just that one day.
However, you might want to compare that cost to the price of upgrading your weeklong ticket to include the Park Hopper option. Depending on your ticket, you might be able to add a day to your current ticket as well, enabling you to park hop every day at a price that might be lower than you had expected, especially when comparing to purchasing a one day Park Hopper.
Another way to enjoy a day of park hopping might be to use some of your current multi-day ticket, then upgrade by adding the Park Hopper option to one or two unused days. As long as you have at least one day remaining on your ticket--meaning you have not entered a park using that ticket--you can upgrade the remaining day or days. Just be sure to keep an eye on those remaining days by following
ticket guidance from the Disney Help Center.
Of course, you can always get assistance from the super-helpful folks at the
Disney Help Center by giving them a call and asking them to help you compare. Call the number for Tickets and Hotel Reservations to speak with a cast member who can add just the right amount of magic to your Walt Disney World ticket!
