We have tickets for Wednesday and Thursday of next week. One day at one park then next day at the other. The weather is going to be horrible can we switch our days around?

    Howdy, Darci!

It’s a pleasure to respond to a fellow Beehive State resident. What makes it even better is discussing the wonderful topic of a visit to the Disneyland Resort.

Yes, it is possible to cancel existing theme park reservations and re-book new reservations for other days and/or different starting parks. To do so, simply visit the "My Theme Park Reservations" page and click the "Cancel Reservation" link. You will be prompted to select which tickets to include in the cancellation. And then you can confirm your choice. Return to the "My Theme Park Reservations" page to book a new date. You will find that your theme park tickets remain linked to your Disneyland Resort account. New park reservations may be made for as long as your tickets remain valid. Standard park tickets are valid until all of the days are used up or until the expiration indicated in the ticket purchase confirmation email. And most multi-day tickets expire 13 days after the first use if that should be before the expiration date listed in the confirmation.

If for some reason you find that you need to proceed with your visit to the Disneyland Resort on your originally-scheduled dates, I hope the weather cooperates as best as possible for you. I’m reminded of the old song performed by Maurice Chevalier and Hayley Mills in the movie In Search Of The Castaways.

Why cry about bad weather? Enjoy it!
Each moment is a treasure, enjoy it!
We are travelers on life's highway, enjoy the trip
Each lovely twist and byway, each bump and dip

If there's a complication, enjoy it!
        You've got imagination, employ it!
And you'll see roses in the snow,
Joie de vivre will make them grow,
        Voila, that's life, enjoy it!

I know that dealing with rain isn’t ideal. Though with all the snow we’ve been receiving in Utah lately, it does seem the more preferable option to me! During the rainy season in Anaheim, I recommend packing a poncho and shoes that may get wet. About a year ago, my family visited the Disneyland Resort during a particularly rainy week. We found using the Disney Genie+ service helped a lot. Even when some attractions were temporarily closed due to weather, our Lightning Lane return times were automatically adjusted to help us make the best of the situation.

I hope you have a magical time, Darci!
