Welcome to planDisney, Kelley. I'm sorry to hear that you won't be able to use your Disneyland Resort theme park tickets. What a lovely idea to gift them to your sister and niece to enjoy a magical visit. We're so glad you found us and I am thrilled to help out.
I just love the flexibility that's included with Disneyland Resort theme park tickets. While you can absolutely change the names on your theme park tickets, it's not necessary. The names on your tickets are there more to help with the organization of all tickets in the
Disneyland app. When the tickets are scanned at the entrance gate, the Cast Member will take a picture of the person who will be using the ticket which will serve as the ticket holder's identification throughout the visit. If it's helpful to have the names changed, you can call a friendly Cast Member at the
phone line for Tickets for assistance. In the past, I've had a ticket with my name on it and used it for my husband (without changing the name) and we had no issues.
Your sister and niece will have a wonderful time. The Holidays at the Disneyland Resort will have wrapped by the time of their arrival, however there will still be plenty of magic to enjoy. During my last visit I was able to explore the
recently reopened and reimagined Adventureland Treehouse. It was so fun taking some time to wander around. The views at the top are absolutely stunning and my favorite feature of the treehouse. When I was done, I headed over to the Tiki Juice Bar to pick up the DOLE Whip that I had
mobile ordered before I started my exploration. A perfect end to a perfect expedition.
I hope this helps put your mind at ease and that the information is helpful as you are getting ready to gift some magic to your sister and niece. Let us know if there's anything else you might be curious about. We're always here and love to help!
