ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at
Walt Disney World Resort.
The UCA & UDA College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championship is quickly approaching! This is a highlight of the year, featuring the best collegiate cheer and dance teams from around the world. We've attended in the past (we'll be streaming it from Michigan this year!) and it is so much fun - the competition goes literally all day and you can hop between venues to catch all of your favorite teams.
Michelle, the championships are run by Varsity Spirit, and tickets to the ESPN Complex must be purchased through them. The
Disney Events site for the event offers single-day tickets for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. You
may be able to purchase onsite, but this isn't always available, so I would advise buying tickets in advance. You can link the confirmation number in your
My Disney Experience app and scan your ticket at the entrance gate.
If you haven't attended an event at ESPN in the past, you are in for a treat. There's lots of fun options for
dining, and some fun sports-themed merchandise options. You may even see Mickey Mouse greeting fans throughout the weekend! Be sure to check out the
map and find out where your favorite squad will be performing (the performance order is posted on Varsity's event website) so you don't miss a moment.
Keep in mind that there is no direct Walt Disney World transportation to the ESPN complex. However, there is plenty of complimentary parking, and it's also a great location to use rideshare. The pick-up and drop-off locations are clearly marked near the AdventHealth Arena, and we often use it if we're staying at a Disney resort hotel.
