Hi María José! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney.
Your trip is right around the corner and it sounds like you're ready to add more magic to your visit with an extra day. I think that's a great idea! While we're accustomed to the one-day park visit as a family, it's much easier to fit in the things you want to see and do with that extra day. The
Park Hopper option you've selected will really help with flexibility too.
The good news is that you absolutely can upgrade your one-day Park Hopper tickets. You'll just have to pay the difference for the additional day. There are two ways to do this. One is to visit the Main Entrance Ticket Booths at Disneyland Resort, where a friendly Cast Member can assist you. The other is to call the
Tickets Phone Line and chat with a Cast Member about your upgrade. You'll also need a
Theme Park Reservation for that second day since admission to the parks requires a valid ticket and a reservation subject to availability.
You might also consider adding
Disney Genie+ once you arrive at the parks. It's an upgrade you can purchase on the Disneyland mobile app, which allows you to spend less time in lines and more time experiencing all the fun, thanks to Lightning Lane Entrances. On our short visits, we've found it to be incredibly valuable.
With the
Disney100 Celebration at Disneyland Resort underway, you'll be so glad you have that extra day. We're planning our visit and we have the new nighttime entertainment World of Color - ONE at Disney California Adventure Park and Wondrous Journeys at Disneyland Park at the top of our to-do list. Plus, I really want to ride the new
Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway in Mickey's Toontown at Disneyland Park, and the rest of the newly reimagined Mickey's Toontown should be reopened by the time of your arrival! Check out the
Entertainment Schedule to help plan your must-dos and take a peek at the
Disney Parks Blog for updates on everything new coming to the parks.
Have the most magical visit.
Elizabeth
