Hey there, Monica. Welcome to planDisney, and thanks for stopping by to share your question. You must be floating on cloud nine after securing tickets to the sold-out
Disneyland After Dark: Sweethearts’ Nite event. Spending the evening in the park with your valentine will be a night to remember.
Not to worry if none of the dining packages call to your taste buds. You can absolutely dine wherever your hearts desire on your evening - whether it be in Disneyland Park or Downtown Disney District. Upon check-in, you will receive a wristband and commemorative credential that will allow you re-entry into Disneyland Park (along with your ticket) should you find a restaurant in
Downtown Disney District that particularly tickles your fancy. Keep in mind that you can also enter Disneyland Park up to three hours early (at 6:00 p.m.) before the event officially starts at 9:00 p.m. I like to use this time before the event starts to get something to eat so we can completely enjoy all of the event festivities. I'll usually
mobile order from the
Disneyland app to reduce my wait time.
You and your love are going to have such a magical evening, Monica. Some of my favorite things to do during these Disneyland After Dark events include getting pictures with characters and enjoying the lower wait times on attractions with the limited capacity in the park. You might try taking an evening boat ride on the Storybook Land Canal Boats. Floating under the arch of twinkling lights sounds like a dream to me.
Monica, I hope I was able to provide some information that is helpful as you get ready for your visit. Let us know if we can help with anything else. Here's wishing you a magical evening with your love at the Happiest Place on Earth.
